This policy covers the JRD Connect iOS app and its supporting services, operated by JRD Companies LLC. It describes what the app actually collects, why, and who it is shared with.
We collect what is needed to run your account and show your numbers: your name, email address and phone number; the business data you enter; and, if you connect it, financial reporting data from QuickBooks Online. We do not track you, we run no analytics, and we do not sell or broker your data. You can delete your account from inside the app and we genuinely erase it — with three specific exceptions that are spelled out under Deleting your account.
When you create a JRD Connect account we collect your name, your company or business name, your email address and your mobile phone number. Both the email address and the phone number are verified before the account becomes active. Phone verification is delivered through Twilio, which receives your phone number solely to send that message.
If you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive the name and email address that Apple releases to us, plus the identifier Apple issues for your account. If you use Apple’s Hide My Email, we only ever see the private relay address; we never see your real one.
The details you submit at signup are also delivered to a JRD Companies operations mailbox so that a person can provision and support your account.
Location names and street addresses, retail fuel prices, wholesale costs, price notices, fuel invoices, and service appointments. This is business data about your sites, not personal data about consumers.
If you connect QuickBooks Online, we read financial reporting data for the businesses you connect: profit and loss figures, income and expense totals, and gallons sold. We store that financial data on our servers so the app can display it quickly and compare periods over time — it is not simply passed through. We only ever read from QuickBooks. We do not write to your company file and we cannot move money. You can disconnect QuickBooks at any time, which stops all further reads, and deleting your account erases the stored financial data along with everything else.
When you sign up or sign in, we record the IP address the request came from so that we can rate-limit those two endpoints and block abuse. These records expire automatically within 24 hours. We do not use them to profile you and we do not use them for anything other than rate limiting.
Apple tells us whether your subscription is active and which plan you hold, so the app can unlock the right number of locations. Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never receive your payment card details or your Apple Account credentials.
We do not sell your information, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. The companies below are service providers: they handle your information only to perform a job for us, on our instructions, and they are not free to use it for their own purposes.
We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.
We keep your account data, your business data and any stored QuickBooks financial data for as long as your account exists. Rate-limiting records of your IP address expire within 24 hours. Everything else goes when you delete your account.
You can delete your account from inside the app, under Account. Deleting requires you to re-enter your account password, it takes effect immediately, and it cannot be undone.
When you delete, every personal record we hold about you is erased from our database, table by table, and the erasure is checked table by table as it runs. Nothing is soft-deleted, flagged, or left behind as a tombstone, and no billing records are kept. The only thing written in place of your data is an anonymous audit entry recording when the deletion ran and how many rows it removed. That entry holds no name, no email address, no phone number, no account identifier, and no hash or token derived from any of them. It cannot be traced back to you.
We would rather be straightforward here than promise more than we can deliver. Three copies of some of your details live outside our database, and deleting your account does not remove them:
If you want the signup notification email removed from our operations mailbox as well, email us and we will delete it. The two processor logs age out on Twilio’s and Cloudflare’s own schedules.
JRD Connect is business software. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and change the date above.
